Map and Directions

 

The camp is located high in the mountains of beautiful Angeles National Forest, about 90 miles from Los Angeles. The physical address is 22801 Big Pines Hwy.

           

From Northern California: Take Hwy 99 to Bakersfield, to Hwy 58 to Mojave, and the 14 Fwy south to Palmdale. Follow Route A (below) at
"Take 14 to...."

From the Los Angeles area:

Route A: Take I-5 north to the 14 Fwy. Take 14 to Hwy 138 East (Pearblossom Hwy). Stay on Hwy 138 for 21 miles to Largo Vista Road (also called county road N4). Turn right and go to the stop
sign (6.1 miles) which is Big Pines Hwy. Turn left and go 4 miles east, just past Jackson Lake. The camp is on the left, north side of the road. (L.A. Thomas Guide map 4471/4561, B-5)

Route B: Take I-15 north to Hwy 138. Go west on 138 until Hwy 2 and turn left. Proceed on 2 through the town of Wrightwood towards the Big Pines Ranger Station. Pass the Mountain High Ski area. At the three-way fork, take Big Pines Hwy (county road N4). The camp is 2-1/2 miles and will be on the right/north side of the road.
